The Petersons discussed the Legacy Plan they developed, pursuant to which Milt Peterson has transitioned the ownership and management of his businesses to his children and they, in turn, will transition the businesses to future generations of their family.

The Peterson Companies have transformed the greater Washington, DC metropolitan region by developing some of the most highly recognized and successful projects in the region, including numerous residential communities, shopping centers, office parks and mixed use projects. Perhaps their most significant achievement is the extraordinary National Harbor, featuring the Gaylord Hotel and Conference Center, MGM casino, Tanger Outlets, Capital Wheel, great restaurants and many other facilities.

The Peterson family has also made extraordinary civic and charitable contributions to our community, through their support of Life With Cancer, Inova, George Mason University, Middlebury College, United Methodist Church, Gleaning for the World, Youth for Tomorrow and many other charities.
